THEIR LOVE STORY

"In February 2016, my life as a single mom to 1-month-old Christopher was in full swing when I started a new job at Synchrony Financial. It was there that I met Gerardo, a colleague who, from the start, made his intentions clear with cheerful “Good morning, beautiful” messages. Although I wasn’t looking for love, he was patient and respectful, knowing that I wasn’t ready for a relationship. As we spent more time together, I saw his kindness, especially towards my son, and began to feel a connection. When Christopher was 5 months old, I introduced him to Gerardo, and from there, we started doing activities together as a family. Over time, Gerardo earned my trust, always putting Christopher first. A year later, on March 21st, 2017, Gerardo officially asked me to be his girlfriend, and I said “Yes” without hesitation. Fast forward to May 2023, when, on Mother’s Day, he proposed to me at the Grand Canyon—one of the most beautiful places we’d visited together. Our intimate wedding in Arizona followed a year and a half later on November 23, 2024. Eight years together, countless memories made, and a family built on love and patience, we couldn’t be happier. Our Arizona elopement was more than just a celebration of our love—it was the start of forever."
